EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a set of standardized protocols that incorporates elements from different treatment approaches.
Since it was developed in 1989, EMDR therapy has helped millions of people relieve psychological distress. EMDR has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma; treatment outcome results are often equivalent to the treatment "gold standard" (CBT) with shorter duration of treatment, less client drop-out, and less upset to the client.
